I slept in a tad, till about 8. Then I did some homework until my Skype dates started. I skyped for about 3 hours. After that I biked to the beach where I went for a run and then swam a bit. In my old age I have picked up Abbie's paranoia about things in the ocean and I've been having trouble going out too deep here. I had my vibrums on so I was fine to walk in but I didn't get much above chest level. I think it has something to do with being paranoid my stuff is going to either get ruined or stolen. On my run I went to st.kilda's pier that happens to be a penguin nesting ground.

The babies were so cute. I couldn't get very good pictures because they were deep in the rocks and no flashes are allowed.

I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and got snacks and drinks for the next week and a half or so. With my gym/class schedule from 6a-5p I've been taking breakfast, lunch, a snack, a drink, and a water bottle. I got all sorts of dried fruit and snack bars. I also got Cadbury chocolate. It's much better in Australia. When I got home I got cleaned up and used my chocolate.

So I had an interesting dinner. I went out with Katie's family because her ex husbands birthday was on the 8th(along with the rest of my favorite people) we went to tgi Fridays. It was sooo awkward. It was me Katie's two children, her boyfriend and her exhusband. Ummm. As expected no one talked or when they did it was annoying. Everyone was constantly bickering or sitting in silence. No one made any kind of effort to talk to the birthday boy. They were all side conversations. We waited almost an hour to get our food then when the food arrived:
About half an hour later they let us back in and we finished dinner. The girls had gotten pavlova for Ken and the waitstaff sang to him.

The pavlova was quite good. The merign was a little wimpy but it was still delicious. Then we headed home. I'm off to bed early even though it's the weekend. Katie has ambitious plans for us tomorrow and I still have a bit of work to do.
Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!
Mine!
