tram-completely passive and continuous so I can get work done
bike-completely active workout and transportation all in one
train-well it's a train
So I got to the gym and was soaked in sweat. Luckily I had brought my shower supplies. The biking would go much faster if I had a nicer bike. But I got more than I paid for so I'll quit the whining. It wasn't as dangerous as Katie had told me. The entire route to school is either in a bike lane or on a bike path. Most of the time the bike lane is separated from the road by a median. Of course I was careful but really the city does a good job of protecting bikers. So before I left I had been saying that I was only going to live 7K from school. Well the agency exaggerated a bit and I'm over 12.5K away from campus. So that's why it takes so long.
So I started the day by joining the Australian Phisiotherapy association. Then we had 2 more guest lecturers and then we had pharmacology class.

Pharmacology class is going to be fun but Abbie and I will have completely different terms for the drugs. She has learned terms in American English, I am going to be learning from an Australian with a Scottish accent. While I'm on the topic, foreign accents are different here a person with a different background trying to speak Australian English sounds different from a person of the same background trying to speak American English. It seems like common sense but the variation surprised me a little.
After class we all went down to the Queensberry Hotel for Pints and Parmas. I think I kind of explained this last week but let me try again. Hotel=hotel or pub or hotel pub combo. In this case it means pub. A pint is 16oz of beer. The other option is a pot(8oz) of cider. A Parma is chicken parmesan with a piece of ham on top. It's served with chips(fries). The Parmas at the Queensberry are enormous and most everyone only at half. I only had chips with terrible ketchup:(
On my way home I ran into Occupy Melbourne

But what could the possibly be protesting? Surely they're not part of the 99%. Wrong they are protesting the 1% as well except they are protesting the global effect of the very wealthy Americans. They also want the 1% to give up their wealth and benefit society except they are pushing for benefits to the global society not just Americans. Oh except it's not on going it happens occasionally. If you notice it has been declared an occupy friday these people aren't there around the clock.
I looked at things on gumtree for a bit when I got home and then accidently fell asleep. We had pizza for dinner and Hannah came over. She was grumpy at first but warmed up to me eventually. We talked and hung out for a bit. She has two adorable cats
