I was working at the nursing home in Werribee and my phone got pick pocketed on my lunch break. A real live pick pocket! Crazy I know. So I lost my ability to blog on my way to work. Without that and with limited ability to take pictures it significantly cut down on my blogging ability
For Passover I went to my friend Dan's parents. There were 40 guests and at least 20 Jewish mothers so that there was enough food to feed an army. Damien came with me and made the rookie mistake of taking a second bowl of matzo ball soup. By the time the 15-20 desserts came out he was in too much pain to enjoy them. It was a vegan Passover which further complicated the food process. After reading vegan blogs I was good and avoided using white sugar only to find out later that only American sugar is problematic and that Australian sugar would have been fine. We brought a fruit tray and a veggie tray with green goddess dressing, eggplant dip, vegan chocolate, and passion fruit sauce.
Green goddess: 1 avocado, 2tbsps tahini, 2 cloves garlic, a handful of parsley, a splash of Apple cider vinegar and enough water to make it the desired consistency.
Vegan chocolate dip: 1/4 cup chocolate powder, 2ozs chocolate melted, 1/2 cup dates, 1/4 cup almond milk-blend. Eat.
Damien was unfamiliar with melon balls so we made a ball fruit platter with melonx3, pineapple balls, apple balls, kiwi balls, peach balls, and grapes.
Over my 4 day Easter break we did the 2 bays track 21km day 1, 26km day 2 with over night camping.
Work is going well. I'm moving out of Werribee after this week and concentrating my efforts in Altona and Melton, both of which are nicer and easier to get to.
Up to Cann river tomorrow in the middle of nowhere for my monthly visit. On the way back we are spending a day and a half in Cape conrahn. It is beautiful. I will try to take pictures with a camera and not just my eyes.
