Hi there! Guest blogger Abbie here, writing the blog today cause Maddie is driving me home! Today we got up really early and went all the way to Charlottesville, Virginia (that's a really really long way from Melbourne, adds Maddie, as she listens to me dictate to Siri!). Maddie was really tired and jetlagged because she spent too many hours on a plane, so when we got to Charlottesville all she did was sleep. She didn't tell me what she dreamt about, but I bet it was unicorns and rainbows and gum drops! We went to Panera on the way and ate bagels because they are super expensive in Australia! Mine was delicious but Maddie put cream cheese on hers, which is yucky! She seemed to like it, though.
Maddie knows a lot of things about finances and dealing with money, so she told me all about stuff when we were driving down. It was awesome though I don't understand most of it. Then on the way back I read A Game of Thrones to her! We are about 60 pages in, and Maddie likes Jon Snow because "he seems level-headed and not full of himself," which I take to mean because he's a beautiful and angsty bishonen! A cause I can get behind, of course! Of the first 60 pages, my favorite person is prob Benjen, but Varys is gonna show up soon, plus more Arya, yay! Other activities included reminiscing about vomit and discussing how our family makes weird punnet squares.
For those of you who are anxious to know, Maddie looks/seems pretty good, considering! Except too skinny, because Australians are too busy walking upside down and taking cyanide supplements to feed their beautiful ladies, it seems! I hope that was satisfying to all you well-wishes, 'cause you'll get to see her when you pry her out of my cold, dead arms! I miss her much too much to give up, though I might be persuaded if you asked reeeeally nicely. Maybe. No promises.
Tonight we shall get home at roughly midnight, and Maddie's going to order herself a DS and some Layton games, and then we're gonna play Skyward Sword! I hope we get to Girahim before she has to go back, because he is super fab and has rainbows in his heart! And Maddie likes her some manly men so she won't even be sad that Link has to wear pants! RIP skirt/stockings, but I digress.
Tomorrow we are going to go shopping for pants and earrings and shoes! We are keeping a mileage count as we go traipsing around the tri-state, so we'll keep you updated! Currently we are at 520 miles in just under 24 hours. Mostly Maddie drives cause she is a one-armed driving beast and I'm really slow, but it's not actually that scary! What is scary is she keeps threatening to massage my stomach because I had the terror-queasies this morning, frown! But that's a matter for another blog!

Find Maddie a cyborg arm/shoulder (Adam Jensen and friends, any suggestions?)
Go to the lake
Eat homemade jiaozi
More hugs!
