I had planned to go swimming with Kat this morning. Instead I slept. It was very dissatisfying. I didn't swim and I also didn't feel rested. I had a meeting for my health promotion project(a 5km run for my farming community). It was productive I always like when we meet. I feel much more directed afterward. Then we had 2 pharmacology lectures. The first was complicated and boring. The second was much more straight forward and quite exciting. I practiced for a while this afternoon. Then I went home to do some work. All I wanted to do this evening was finish chapter 16 of accounting. I didn't. In 8 hours I was distracted by everything else in the world including other projects and only got half way through the chapter. I guess I will finish it in the morning. This evening I was presented with a challenge: carrot cake ice cream. I shall have to attempt it later this week.

Back to class today. I really didn't want to wake up. But I did. I forgot shorts which meant that I had to be in my underwear for our hip prac but I suppose these things happen. I finished the first portion of my accounting final today. Only 25 minutes of the class left!
Steph is back in Melbourne durning the week. We went riding this evening. Neither of us had lights so we had to cut our ride a bit short since the sun sets so early but it was still good to see her.
Dinner was absolutely delicious tarragon chicken with plum sauce. I'll have to make it again.
And somehow that's all I accomplished today.... Where does the time go?

I tried to get caught up on everything today. I worked while listening to night vale, a thrilling podcast about a government controlled town. I think that something happened because I felt like I was working all day but looking back I'm not sure that I actually accomplished anything.
I tried to go to the dry cleaner but found that it was closed when I arrived. So I went to the grocery store instead. I also cleaned a bit and went for a run. And washed all of my stuff from camping last week. But that's about it. I really felt like I had done more today....

First 3 nights of Passover and I'm super hungry!
The first night of Passover I went home with my friend Dan for Sedar with his family. It was great. The best Jewish event that I've been to in Australia. I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and they all seem like my kind of Jews. I got an invite back in 2 weeks preferably with but also without Dan. It's great!
Night 2 of Passover I didn't have a Sedar to go to. Instead I went to the store and bought way too much food. Then I made most of the Passover staples like pb&j matza, egg salad matza chocolate covered matza and charosset, as well as beer salad. The charosset is funny. The apples cooked down and the currents plumped up so it looks unbalanced and very dark. Still tastes great though. I'm going away this weekend so I am saving matzo ball soup for when I get back.
Wednesday morning I had fried matza for breakfast then a pretty long day at school. I did get checked off on my thoracic manipulation so I can officially crack people's upper backs now!!! Then I had work this evening. Since it's the week before Easter and we have no games this weekend, only 6 players showed up. I gave my self an elbow assuage and took a nap..... All in a day's work. I came home and had a matza pizza before finishing up the presentation I am giving tomorrow and spending a few hours doing accounting. This week accountignwas a bt more time consuming than normal but uncharacteristly easy. I hope that I did well.
In other important news... I have a provisional graduation date of December 20th. I will keep you updated as I learn more.

4/4-4/13/2014
Monday was a really long day of class. Like a really long day. We started early had 2 lectures, a prac, then a few hours of group work, then we had another seminar on back surgery. When I finally got home I was quite tired and took a nap. I work up and still didn't feel all that flash so I went to bed.
Tuesday morning I woke up with a 102 degree fever. I took Tylenol and went back to sleep. I meant to get up for class at 11am but I sleep through that. When I woke up at 12pm I meant to go to a group meeting but I was running about half an hour late so I went to the doctor instead. The doctor had a long line so I sat on the floor for about 5 minutes before falling asleep. The doctor took pity on me a saw me immediately. A quick strep test later she sent me home(No you can't go to your group meeting first) told me to take antibiotics and go to sleep. So I did.
I slept most of Wednesday too but made it in for my class at 2pm. It was just over 24hours so I was safe to interact with the world again. After class I went to work FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON! I have been trying to make it there since mid-February and I finally made it there! It was lovely. Good to be back and remember why I actually work for them(They're great guys).
Thursday I slept in but felt almost 100% when I got up. I started studying. I have a pharmacology test next Tuesday and a lot to catch up on from being away and then missing this Tuesday since I was sick. I put a good couple of hours in but studying pharmacology feels like running through waist high sand. I can put in all the effort in the world and still get nowhere.
Friday I took a break from Pharmacology to do some accounting study. I spent the morning becoming an expert on budget preparation and took my test. I got the best grade that I have had so far in the class. We had a seminar 1-3pm with a guest physiotherapist and a patient. After class I went to the law building to study for a while with Brooke. I got bored around 6 and went home where I spent the rest of the evening studying.
Saturday I was up early to study pharmacology before work. The game today was at 11:40am. we played at home and won. I had a guy break his wrist so I got to take a nice little run out onto the field. After work I was back home to study. For the rest of the day what a drag.
Sunday, guess what I studied pharmacology. I started early in the morning and worked till dinner when we had friends come over to enjoy roast and a 2 speedy fast games of ticket- to-ride. I studied for another hour and a half and then off to bed.
Aside from lying on my back all of my post fall pain is gone and I'm only taking my antibiotics to prevent re-infection. Yay! So much study I want to go outside and run around.

4/3/2014-4/6/2014
Thursday morning we had sports prac. Afterward I met with my group to work on the presentation that we are giving next week. Then at 3pm I flew to Adelaide for the weekend to visit Damien and run a half marathon. We started out with not the best visit. He had to work late, I had to study for an accounting exam and take it Friday morning and he had to prepare for and do a job interview. By the time we had done all of that it was Friday lunch time so we had delicious Vietnamese rolls-as in Vietnamese on bogie buns, sounds weird, tastes delicious. Then we went rock climbing. The indoor facility there is nice. Not quite as elaborate as Melbourne but still fun and a good workout. After climbing we headed up to Clare Valley which is about 2 hours north of Adelaide. It is a lesser known wine region north of Barossa. Saturday was just a relaxing day of hiking, going to wineries and having a "picnic" lunch at one of the wineries. Sunday morning we were up early to run the Clare Valley half-marathon. We were under the impression that it was a 7am start but it was actually 8am. So we were there way to early. I did not feel well running. I don't think that I had fully recovered from my bike crash on Tuesday so I was in a lot of pain and was having trouble breathing because it hurt to move my ribs. I still ran a 1:54:04 so I wasn't too sad.
We went to a few more wineries before heading back to Adelaide. I have plenty of wine to fill up my wine rack but not nearly enough suitcase room so I had to leave more than half of it to be delivered at a later date.

3/31/2014-4/2/2014
Oh goodness it's April 12th and I don't have a blog yet for April. I will have to catch up. I've had a bit of a hectic 2 weeks and I'm just about back on top of things.
So Monday March 31st I had a long day of classes. Then I went a physiotherapist to get my arm checked out from my bike crash. We have divided that it is probably a lateral ligament tear but there is also a ton of scar tissue that I need to work through. Fun times ahead. Leaving the PT I got a call from Kat. One of our friends turned in his PhD thesis today so we went to the pub to celebrate and then to Billy's for dinner. I got home to my friends around 11pm. They were headed to bed and then leaving in the morning.
Tuesday morning I woke up and found that my friends had left earlier than expected without saying goodbye. :( I had a long day of pharmacology and catching up on the ankle joint which I missed last week. At 5pm I headed into work for the first time this season. We were supposed to have a meeting with all the trainers to organise the season. On my normal bike route I came across a hole that is normally covered but had a metal grate with very wide bars. My tire went right in. I flipped over my handle bars and knocked the wind out of myself. It hurt a bit some nice people came by to help one of them was a parametric(imagine my luck two times in a row) who touches my neck and felt it spasm. He got nervous so I got sent to hospital. Someone called work, someone called Kat, the police officer returned my bike and I spent 5 hours in ED(emergency department). A doctor cleared me and I was sent home a bit sore but nothing else.
Wednesday I was sore and refused to be a neck patient for prac. class. Otherwise no major problems.
Alright that's enough for today. More tomorrow. Current injury and illness status: right hand is a tad sore on compression and after >6 hours of studying, ribs hurt when I lie on my back. Symptom free still taking antibiotics.
